CITY TO SHUTDOWN CABLE TV SYSTEM ON APRIL 30, 2025

At the June City Council Meeting, the decision was made to shutdown the Barnesville Cable TV system on April 30, 2025.
 
Over the past decade, all cable providers have been faced escalating costs from content providers and decreased subscribers with most people getting their content online. Barnesville Cable TV has reached the point that we can no longer generate the revenue needed to continue to operate the system. The City of Barnesville hopes to announce new entertainment options for their current 261 subscribers in the very near future.
